2017 Humanitarian Response Plan for the occupied Palestinian territory
The 2017 Humanitarian Response Plan is the fifteenth coordinated appeal in the occupied Palestinian territory. It aims to extend protection to Palestinians living under occupation, in accordance with international law, to ensure access to basic services for the most vulnerable Palestinians and to strengthen the capacity of families to cope with the continued pressures of life under occupation.
The Plan seeks US $547 million in donor funding to implement 243 projects by 95 organizations, including 47 national and 35 international NGOs, and 13 UN agencies. Nearly 70 per cent of the requested funds target Gaza, where humanitarian needs are highest due to the blockade and recurrent hostilities, further exacerbated by the impact of internal Palestinian divisions.
