Yesterday, the World Health Organization and partners evacuated 37 patients and 39 companions out of Gaza via Rafah to continue receiving care in Egypt. Between 12,000 and 14,000 critical patients need to be medically evacuated from Gaza.

Humanitarian partners specializing in nutrition services report that they could screen over 20,000 children in January, across Gaza, identifying more than 750 cases of acute malnutrition who are now enrolled in treatment programmes.

Humanitarian partners are training volunteers supporting people in distribution sites on protection from sexual exploitation and abuse.

Since 30 January, fuel provided by the UN has allowed the five bakeries in Gaza city to increase their production level. Free bread distribution resumed and is being distributed alongside cooked meals in the southern and northern governorates alone.

Yesterday, humanitarian partners visited Beit Lahia in North Gaza, to assess people’s living conditions. People reported that they needed to walk long distances to access water for domestic use. The findings of this assessment will serve to inform humanitarian action.
