oPt Humanitarian Fund (oPt HF) – Monthy Update

In February 2017, the occupied Palestinian territory Humanitarian Fund (OPT HF) had 16 ongoing projects, for a total of US$5.3 million, addressing urgent needs in the West Bank (30 per cent) and Gaza Strip (70 per cent). Projects focus on the areas of Emergency Shelter and Non-Food Items, Food Security, WASH and Protection. Of these, 9 projects are being implemented by international NGOs, 2 projects are being implemented by national NGOs and 5 projects are being implemented by UN agencies. In total, 8 projects are being implemented in partnership with national NGOs.

Projects focus on the areas of Emergency Shelter & Non-Food Items, Food Security, WASH and Protection. Of these, 14 projects are being implemented by international NGOs, 3 projects are being implemented by national NGOs and 5 projects are being implemented by UN agencies. Of them, 12 projects are being implemented in partnership with national NGOs.

Of these, 11 projects are being implemented by international NGOs, including six in partnership with national NGOs; three projects are being implemented by National NGOs; and one project is being implemented by a UN agency.
